Alfred and Cynthia are both students at Malabo University. Alfred bumps into Cynthia at Paradise Park and decides to approach her. But what starts off as a warm conversation quickly degenerates into allegations of sexual harassment. She stomps away and vows never to have anything to do with him again.

But they end up meeting each other where neither of them ever thought possible. Will old sparks from Paradise Park start flying again?

A military coup takes place in the country and their university campus erupts in violence just when old wounds begin to heal and they both fall into each other.  A planned protest march in support of striking lecturers upsets their lives in a way neither of them had seen coming.

An important student leader goes missing. A solidarity rally leads to the death of another student. Pandemonium erupts at Malabo broadcasting house and Alfred and Cynthia are caught up in the ensuing commotion. But they must flee the turmoil if they are to see each other again.
