Too Good and True: You Are Always Good to Go

These are excerpts from the author’s book “Deep,” which contains eight of his small books published in the form of Wisdom Literature covering different aspects of life: Facing troublemakers, dealing with pain, personal financial issues, gastronomy, reading, criticizing, inspiring, and feeling always good to go.
Series 6: Criticizing.
- At every level in life, your role models in criticism are formed from your very first stages in any field, but most of them do not remain as role models to the same extent with the course of your experiences and your maturity in general.
- It is not always easy to determine the hierarchy of people in any field, based on the merit and preference of their achievements. In any case, your role model in criticism is not necessarily the one who is referred to as the most prominent critic in their field but the one whose method of critical approach appeals to you and inspires you more than others do.
- You firmly become a role model in criticism in any field in the long term, as far as your criticism is genuine.
- You do not necessarily have one or a limited number of role models in any field of criticism. There is nothing to prevent you from having many role models, even within the same critical field, each of them inspiring you in a particular aspect or even in a different way within the same aspect.
- Your best critical role models are those who constantly inspire you and give you deep confidence whenever you approach them for inspiration.
- Great role models in criticism extend their influence, on those they inspire, even outside of their field of expertise.
- Authentic role models in criticism never indoctrinate; they inspire.
- One does not seek to set themselves as a role model on any level; others nominate and crown them with that high sublime stature.
- The deepest impact of a role model on any level is often the one that comes spontaneously, without a prior intention.
- People put pressure unintentionally on their role models by anticipating certain approaches in behavior and work. It is unwise for role models to acquiesce in response to these pressures if they think it necessary to change their point of view or to behave in a different way for any valid reasons they have.
