Week 22: To Go with Pride

  • Pride is a deep feeling you do not need to insist on showing it every step of the way.

  • Never let your pride take the lead.

  • The true test of the poise of your pride lies in not hesitating to admit your mistakes in the middle of a confrontation.

  • Your pride is absolutely precious; instead of defending it from real and imagined encroachments, avoid engaging it in every battle along the way.

  • You are responsible for the image and limits of your pride. Do not let others push you into fabricated battles to defend it.

  • Let the wounds of your pride heal quickly; they get dramatically worse and become more difficult to control if you do not give them enough attention.

  • Everyone has his or her own way of defining and expressing pride. Beware of those who are good at hiding their big ego.

  • By dealing wisely with your pride during different situations, you can increase your gains. Excessive stubbornness hurts your pride.

  • Your test of pride gets harder when you discover your mistake late on the road of intense disagreement.

  • Your pride is affirmative when it inspires others and not just satisfies yourself.
