Meet Ugandan artistic powerhouse Okumu Sylvester Douglas

Formerly known as Sylver, the dynamic Ugandan artist Okumu Sylvester Douglas has embarked on a transformative journey, now going by the moniker Oksylver. This evolution reflects not only a change in name but also a profound shift in artistic identity and expression, marking a new chapter in his multifaceted career.
As Oksylver, Okumu Sylvester Douglas continues to captivate audiences with his diverse talents spanning music, acting, modeling, writing, and directing. With four albums released under his former alias, Sylver, and five self-published books, Oksylver has already left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry.
In 2024, Oksylver is set to make his acting debut, showcasing his versatility and depth as an artist. His upcoming role in the feature film “Lama” signals a bold step forward in his acting career, while his leading role in the self-written short film “As I Dream” demonstrates his creative vision and storytelling prowess. Additionally, Oksylver will make his directorial debut with the short film “The Janitor,” as a part of the 2024 ikon fellowship program.
