Actor, Entrepreneur Philanthropist Boris Kodjoe to deliver the keynote address at the 2021 Global Leadership Africa Summit on Oct. 23 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Boris Kodjoe will deliver the keynote address at the 2021 Global Leadership Africa Summit on October 23, 2021, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Downtown Omaha. Kodjoe is an actor, director, producer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.
Kodjoe currently stars in the 5th season of the Shonda Rhimes produced ABC series “Station 19.” The actor, known for his roles in “House Of Cards,” “The Last Man on Earth,” “Brown Sugar,” “Resident Evil,” and “The Real husbands Of Hollywood,” met his wife, actress Nicole Ari Parker, on the set of the Showtime series “Soul Food.”
He is a philanthropist and advocate, serving on the Business Roundtable Committee for Racial Equity and Justice (2% Initiative) and the Board of Directors for the Foundation of Orthopedics and Complex Spine (FOCOS). The organization based in Accra, Ghana is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art spinal and orthopedic care to pediatric and adult patients.

Boris and his wife, Nicole Ari Parker, have built a successful fitness apparel business, GymWrap, which supports health and wellness initiatives for underserved communities via their non-profit, The Kodjoe Family Foundation. Together, they advocate for the prevention of birth defects through research and folic acid fortification. He along with his brother Patrick co-founded “Full Circle Festival” galvanizing business leaders, cultural influencers, and government officials to create synergies around economic development and Africa-focused investment opportunities. President Nana Akufo-Addo credits the brothers and their team for contributing $1.9 billion of tourism revenue to the Ghanian economy in 2019.
Boris Kodjoe attended Virginia Commonwealth University on a tennis scholarship and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. Upon graduation, Kodjoe was signed as a model and then transitioned to acting. He was inducted into the VCU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2017. Raised in Germany to a Ghanaian father and German mother, Boris Kodjoe now lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their two children, Sophie and Nicolas.

He joins Lual Mayen, a South Sudanese video game developer, founder, and Chief Executive Officer of Junub games, who are added to the 2021 Global Leadership Africa Summit’s touted speaker line-up. The Summit is a hybrid inperson and virtual conference that offers live conversations, breakout sessions, and generates rich networking and educational opportunities in professional development, women empowerment, entrepreneurship, health, and diversity. More than 1,000 conference-goers are expected to attend — and for those who can’t, the Summit will be streamed to satellite sites in different countries, such as the United Kingdom, Kenya, and Ghana.
