Week 7: What Does Realizing the Absolute Truth Require?

  • As we celebrate intelligence, diligence, the will to persevere, and everything else that has led to success, we forget, in the midst of our celebration, the fuel that stoked all of this: Selfishness.

  • My soft bed: My weary strength.

  • Contentment: That you equally feel the pleasure of patience and the ecstasy of joy.

  • Lucky person: One whose dreams slightly precede their accomplishments.

  • Unlucky person: One whose dreams far outweigh their abilities.

  • Beware that the solution to the problem becomes a problem.

  • Successful person: The one who loves their work.

  • Creative person: The one whose work loves them.

  • The losing project: The one that generates a profit, but an alternative project could provide a higher one.

  • Courage: A moment of noble inattention to the terrible truth.

  • The machine that is conceited with its temporary design: The human.

  • Life: Intertwined rounds of failure and success.

  • Life movie: Starring woman and a distinguished appearance for man in a supporting role.

  • The highest degree of humility: My certainty that I do not possess me.

The absolute truth: Its tool is a mind that is not like the one we have now.
