For the past 3 years, Roderick Batons has provided opportunities for people with autism and disabilities through his company, Howdy Homemade Ice Cream. After employing dozens with disabilities and seeing their passion to strive to have independence, lead, and live normal lives, Batson quickly grew a new love and respect for the disability community. On September 18th, Batson, alongside his business partner Mr. Williams, opened Essential Speech & ABA Clinic in Cypress.

This one-of-a-kind therapy clinic will help kids with skills, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and ABA therapy. Not only will kids have a safe place to learn, but they will each get a personal therapist that will cater to sharpening their skills and knowledge. “My passion for helping those with special needs started with my cousin who passed away a few years ago. Seeing his efforts to thrive in life motivated me to help others that may share similar experiences. Essential will be a place for kids to grow, learn, and receive the necessary skills they need,” says Roderick Batson, co-owner of Essential Speech & ABA Clinic.
